Eighteen Visions is an American metalcore band hailing from Orange County, California. They were formed in October 1995 and have experienced several phases of activity. Here’s a brief overview:
Beginnings and Early Years (1995–2000):
- The band was founded by James Hart, Dave Peters, Billy Sisler, and Kenneth Floyd under the name “Macabre.”
- Their debut release, Lifeless, came out in 1997.
- In 1999, they released their first full-length album, Yesterday Is Time Killed.
- During this period, they transitioned to the name “Eighteen Visions.”
Major Label Debut and Breakup (2000–2007):
- In 2000, they signed with Trustkill Records and gained attention.
- Their major label debut was released through Epic and Trustkill Records.
- Unfortunately, the band broke up in April 2007.
Reunion and Recent Activity (2017–present):
- After over a decade of absence, Eighteen Visions reformed in 2017.
- They announced their sixth album, XVIII, which was released via Rise Records.
The band’s sound blends metalcore, alternative rock, post-hardcore, and hardcore punk.
